Samuel Muiruri, a graduate of Harambee Africa Leadership Programme [1] has acquired another name, Mr Plastic Bottles! He has been collecting plastic bottles in Nakuru and using them as building blocks- a great idea that he learnt from Yahaya Ahmed from the Developmental Association of Renewable Energies [2] in Northen Nigeria during the Harambee Leadership programme last year. On the World Population Day, one of the local dailies featured Muiruri and his plastic bottles project which besides making homes...and toilets, it is a great way to conserve the environment.
