International Teachers Dialogue, Uganda [2]

The third teachers dialogue will take place in Lira town, Northern Uganda, with the theme 'Teachers in a changing society'. The Dialogue, a follow up of last year's dialogue, will consolidate and equip teachers with skills and techniques of how best to teach effectively and improve the pupils' performance. Entrepreneurship skills will be explored with the participants to improve and eradicate poverty at household levels.

Eastern Africa Youths for Peace [6]

The third Eastern Africa Youth Forum will take place in Kigali, Rwanda, 18-24 February, 2013 with the theme 'Moral values; key to a brighter future'. The forum, just like the previous ones, will bring together young people (18-35 years) from nine countries of the Eastern Africa region, who are eager to bring change in their society.

Alex is the Assistant to the Executive Vice President of Initiatives of Change International. Originally from South Africa, she has lived in Brazil, the United States and the United Kingdom, where she is now based. In 2012, she served as the Communications Director for the Caux Forum for Human Security. She completed an MPhil in Politics (Comparative Government) from the University of Oxford in 2011, focusing primarily on Central African politics and power-sharing governance.
