Land, home, extremism, grace and redemption - a short talk and Q&A with Dr Alan Channer
Dr Alan Channer is a Peacebuilding and Media Consultant. As a Director of For the Love of Tomorrow Films, he produced the award-winning The Imam and the Pastor, and its sequel An African Answer, described by Kofi Annan as ‘a very important film’.
Alan is an Associate of the World Agroforestry Centre, headquartered in Nairobi, where he is leading the development of the the Centre’s new programme on ‘Peacebuilding with Land Restoration’. He serves as a senior consultant with OikoDiplomatique, founded and directed by Rev Dr Sam Kobia, Senior Advisor on Cohesion, Peace and Conflict Resolution to the President of Kenya. He is on the Steering Committee of the IofC programme ‘Initiatives for Land, Lives and Peace and has worked with Initiatives of Change on five continents.
