Zachariah Muturi, a young university student from Kenya, has composed yet another hit song 'My Plea' with a powerful message on clean elections, responsibility and leadership. His first hit 'We are the Change Generation' was the theme song for the 1st Eastern Africa Youth Conference in Feb 2011.
Let us vote cleanly
Let us cast so keenly
For that vote is your voice
Don’t let it fade away
Let us vote in peace
For we are not tribal pieces
We are one unit
And we need unity
For us to get the right leaders
Those who lead us best
Not leading in their own interest
But for the citizens sake
So let’s elect cleanly
Our hands held together
Let us match humbly
Cast our votes peacefully
Leave our past beliefs... for
We should vote wisely
For our votes are our voices
All the campaign promises,
Are just but a consideration
But our votes will guide the direction
One voice, one Kenya
For it is our mother land
Let us preserve its beauty
By keeping high our integrity
Whatever the reason
It’s a new season
Where all vote from evaluation
Not from tribal lines.
