For Four days, representatives of 12 African countries embarked on a training and retreat in Ikoyi City, Lagos, Nigeria. The African Coordination Group led the process of skill deelopment based on a questionnaiire each Country filled to identify the geratest need in their teams..

"Walk the Talk"- Creators of Peace Circle in Kituro, Baringo County, Kenya [6]

Creators of Peace team hopes to train 1000 women in Baringo County by the end of 2016 to be creators of peace in their lives and families. This follows the courageous and emotional apology by the Pokot women to the women of the other communities in Baringo County, Kenya, the Creators of Peace (CoP) team made a decision to put its effort and focus in 2016 on Baringo County. In November 2015, the “CoP Baringo Project” was launched in Kabarnet by Peace Ambassador, Mr. Kosgei.

Bishop John Chebet of Full Gospel Churches of Kenya gave the opening blessing and encouraged the empowerment of women, both socially and economically. This took place during the three days of Creators Peace Circle with 24 women from Kabartonjo, North of Baringo.

Creators of Peace Circles in Chemolingot, Tiaty, Baringo. Kenya [9]

Chemolingot is one of the seven wards found in Tiaty constituency neighboring North Baringo, Kenya. Chemolingot is the Headquarters of East Pokot Sub County and is primarily inhabited by the Pokots. On 23rd November 2015, the Creators of Peace team travelled to Chemolingot for a three-day Peace Circles training for 24 women.

Creators of Peace Circles in Mukutani- South Baringo [10]

21 women from two conflicting communities took place between 1-3 Dec, 2015Anchor in Mukutani, South Baringo, Kenya. Mukutani is a small village in the far south of Baringo, neighbouring Laikipia and Samburu Counties. Mukutani is the home to two communities, the IIlchamus and the Pokots also been proposed to be the Headquarters of Baringo County under the colonial regime but because of the two communities fighting it was moved to Kabarnet.

Recently we carried an article by John Bond, which pointed out that Europe – and Britain in particular – has helped create the tragic situations in Africa and the Middle East from which refugees are fleeing to Europe, and Europeans thereby have a responsibility to care for the refugees. One response came from Kenyan constitutional lawyer, Dr Ekuru Aukot.
